小長井傑は0.03mmの顔料インクペンによる点描画を制作しています。主に骸骨や悪魔などのダークなキャラクターを多く描いています。それらはゲームや小説、映画などでは悪役になることが多い種族ですが、小長井は、彼らを"人を襲うモンスター"としてではなく、ただ別の世界に住み、異なる姿をしているだけの"異世界の住人"として捉え描き続けています。小長井のオリジナルの物語の中では、彼らの世界にも地位や階級があり、日々の生活があり、言語もある、泣いたり笑ったりする、そういう者たちとして存在しています。

Suguru Konagai creates pointillism art using a 0.03mm pigment ink pen. His artwork predominantly features dark characters such as skeletons and demons. While these characters often assume villainous roles in games, novels, and movies, Konagai portrays them not as "monsters attacking humans" but as "inhabitants of a different world" with unique appearances. In his original stories, Konagai assigns them social positions, ranks, and daily lives in their own world. They possess language, express emotions like crying and laughing, and exist as individuals with complex identities in this alternate realm.
